Most Indian projects now size their sewage treatment plants around reuse rather than discharge — flushing, gardening and chiller make-up. That changes what matters: not the design figure on day one, but whether the plant still holds those numbers once the AMC lapses and the operator changes.
Conventional plants hold their numbers as long as aeration, dosing and sludge handling are all maintained. Each of those is a place where real-world operation quietly drifts.
