Low maintenance STP: what really changes
Every STP needs some care. A low maintenance STP removes the hardest jobs — sludge handling, constant operator shifts and heavy equipment servicing.
The short answer
Aquatron is low maintenance, not maintenance-free. The separator has no moving parts and published details state no dedicated operator up to 500 KLD; the bio-chamber, filters and UV still need routine checks. Figures are indicative comparisons against a conventional STP of the same capacity, not a quotation or guaranteed result. Final design, cost and performance depend on a site assessment.

Is there such a thing as a no maintenance STP?
No. Any claim of zero maintenance should be treated with caution. Aquatron reduces maintenance; it does not eliminate it.
What does annual maintenance cost?
In the published 75 KLD villa example, annual AMC is ₹3.2 L for Aquatron against ₹15 L for a conventional plant. Your cost depends on scope.
